Nimmo Receptor Tonus Technique.

Nimmo is a soft tissue manual technique that works on neurophysiological principles to reduce the tone/spasm of trigger points in our muscular system.  It is theorized that formation of a trigger point occurs through an abnormal neural reflex arc.  Nimmo uses ischemic compression to help release active and satellite trigger points.

Dr. Mazzarella received training in Nimmo Receptor Tonus Technique by Jeffery Cohen, who personally trained with Raymond Nimmo.

Active Muscle Release

Active Muscle Release is a soft tissue manual technique that tractions the muscle through active patient motion in order to help reduce the tone/spasm of trigger points in our bodies muscular system.  It is theorized that formation of a trigger point occurs through an abnormal neural reflex arc.  Active Muscle Release uses ischemic compression combined with active range of motion to help release active and satellite trigger points in our bodies.
